What would happen if the bull shark went extinct?
I chose the bull shark. If the bull shark went extinct in the amazon river, then that would flip the whole ecosystem over. The obvious part is that fish would become overpopulated and eat there will be too many fish and other animals that the bull shark eats in the amazon river. This would then lead to those fish eating more seagrass and other fish that they usually eat and overeating because there are too many of them now. This would then cause a shortage of food for the overpopulated fish and they would also die. So in total, many species would die and the balance of food between the animals would be very different and unbalanced. These sharks are very good for the ecosystem and help keep populations of their prey under control.
